Artist’s statement

Respect and reverence for the natural world: a deep desire to connect to a spiritual reality, an obligation to protect and bring attention to the natural life on this planet is the focus of my work in oil painting. This obligation reflects our deepest nature, our essential duty, our dreams, our human need for connectivity with each other, and also to this beautiful and increasingly frail planet, with all it’s diverse life, life that is precious and increasingly in jeopardy. Earth energies: the energy of land, sea and sky, the energy that underlies all life, movement and change that exists in our natural world.
